Rural Culture of small farms and the towns they supported.
Small town cafe’s always attract me more than the restaurant chains. They vary widely in decor, flair and food. Usually locally owned and run, they are in tune with the needs of the community. Well worth the choice over the the chain.
Small town radio was once quite common. It served the community very well. Abundant local news, live broadcasts of local sporting events, weather, local alerts and a variety of fare such as a local “for sale” show are all common programming on these small stations.
Stations like this serve the community in a way that internet radio rarely can. Their days are likely numbered with the growth of on demand services and radio conglomerates buying up stations and doing away with the local feel. but this one sees to be hanging on well.
